Chocolate Date Bites

You like chocolate, I like chocolate, let's make it a date.

Ideal snack bites made with dates, almonds and chocolate.


  • 1 cup raw almonds (unsalted)

  • 8 oz (around 15) medjool dates - seeds removed

  • 2 tablespoon cacao powder

  • 2 tablespoon coconut oil

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • dash salt

  • optional 1/2 cup shredded coconut

Almonds are a great source of fiber, protein and fat


  1. In a food processor, combine all ingredients and pulse

  • Don't over blend the almond or you may get almond butter

  1. Scrap sides and mix pulse once more

  2. Scoop out 1 Tbsp and roll into a ball, set aside and continue until you have all bites (around 15)

  3. Optional, in a bowl have some shredded coconut and roll bite around until outside is covered

  4. Store and enjoy for the week in the fridge

  5. Optional, freeze flat on a pan for about 15 mins, then store in a ziplock in a bag
